A community-built guide to UK bunkers — history, access notes, photos and activation tips contributed by licensed amateur radio operators.

You need to be logged in to add new bunker cards or field reports
🏠 UKBOTA HomeThe UKBOTA Bunker Atlas is a community guide to UK bunkers. Each bunker in the WWBOTA database can have an Atlas Card — a page containing photos, a description, access notes, and field reports from members who have visited or activated the site.
Not every bunker has a card yet — there are over 3,700 bunkers in the database. The Atlas grows as members contribute. If you know something about a bunker, please add it!
💡 If a bunker is missing from the Atlas it does not mean it is invalid for UKBOTA activations — it simply means no one has added a card for it yet. All bunkers listed in the WWBOTA database are valid for activation.
Using the map — Blue pins on the map show bunkers that have Atlas Cards. Click any pin to open that bunker's card. Glowing gold pins are bunkers whose cards were updated in the last 24 hours.
Using the list — The right-hand panel lists all bunkers with cards. You can type in the search box to filter by bunker reference (e.g. B/G-0001) or by name. Click any entry in the list to open that card.
Satellite view — Click the Satellite button on the map to switch between the standard map and aerial photography. Useful for checking terrain around a bunker.
When you open a card you will see:
Use Prev and Next in the right panel to move between bunker cards alphabetically.
You must be logged in to contribute. Once logged in you can:
Photos — JPG or PNG, up to 25MB. All photos are reviewed by an administrator before appearing publicly.
⚠ Only upload images you own or have permission to use. Do not upload images taken from the internet without the owner's consent.
Removing a photo — If you uploaded a photo by mistake or want to replace it, open your card or field report and hover over any photo. A small red × button will appear in the corner. Click it and confirm to delete. The × button only appears on cards and reports you submitted yourself — you cannot accidentally delete someone else's photos. To add a new photo to an existing card, use the Add Field Report button and include your photo there. We are working on making this simpler in a future update.
All contributions are reviewed before they appear on the site. Thank you for helping build the Atlas!
Editing your contribution — If you spot a typo or want to update information after submitting, open the card and click the Edit button next to your name. For field reports: your edited report stays visible to you with a small amber “Pending review” badge while it waits for approval — other visitors will not see it until approved. For master cards: your proposed edit is held for review while the current text stays visible to everyone — nothing disappears. The updated text goes live once an administrator approves it.
Geographic proximity only — simultaneous activation depends on your exact position.
